Perth’s double-glazing market has expanded rapidly, driven by rising energy costs, improved building standards and growing demand for thermal and acoustic performance. With more than 20 operators, the category had become crowded with limited differentiation.

What was missing was a genuinely premium brand: one that paired best in class product performance with an exceptional end to end customer experience. Formalux was created to fill that gap.

POSITION

Formalux’s ambition was clear from the outset – to offer a German designed uPVC double glazing system delivering market leading thermal efficiency and sound reduction, specifically engineered for Western Australia’s climate.

But true differentiation wouldn’t come from product alone. Through strategic positioning work, service, care and craftsmanship were identified as the biggest opportunities. This led us to a simple but powerful brand essence:

Comfort not just as a functional benefit, but as an emotional promise – quieter homes, stable temperatures and complete peace of mind.

IDEATE

The brand identity we developed for Formalux combined product intelligence and premium restraint. Its defining feature is a double layered construction, directly referencing the principle of double glazing; two elements working together to create superior comfort.

This was supported by the high tech, precision led typography, reflecting German engineering and performance, while remaining refined and stylish.

The colour palette deliberately moves away from industry clichés of blues and greys, using natural tones that feel confident, contemporary and distinctive – standing out strongly across digital and physical environments.

The identity was rolled out across all key touchpoints, including signage, business cards, vehicle livery, staff polos, socials and website.

PLAN / Implement

The brand was launched through digital, with a website developed to drive leads, educate consumers and clearly communicate the product offering. The site was supported by ongoing SEO optimisation, regular blog content, and targeted Meta and Google advertising to reach homeowners in the Perth market.

The launch has showcased Formalux as a confident premium entrant in a crowded category, resonating with consumers, generating high quality leads and establishing immediate credibility.
